Singapore (ANTARA News) - Singapore`s direct investment in Indonesia reached about S23.3 billion dollars, making the latter Singapore`s third largest direct investment destination after China and Malaysia, a spokesperson of Singapore International Enterprise (IE) said.

"Indonesia remains our third largest investment destination, so that Singapore International Enterprise (IE) continues to provide facilities to our enterprises to engage in partnerships with Indonesian companies," IE public relations officer Janissa NG said here on Tuesday.

"We have taken a number of Singaporean businessmen to Indonesia and conducted investment promotions with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin)," Janissa NG told Indonesian journalists who made a visit to the IE office here.

In addition to Indonesia, five other countries which become Singaporean investment destinations were China (S$58.1 billion), Malaysia (S$28.1 billion), Hong Kong (China: S$21.5 billion), Thailand (S$19.5 billion) and India (S$8.7 billion), he said.

Apart from that, the Singapore Economic Development Agency Vice Director Jayashree Sadanandan said the level of confidence of Singaporean businessmen to Indonesia is stable, despite bomb explosion happened at the GBIS church in Solo, Central Java on September 25.(*)
