Tehran (ANTARA News) - IRI Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi in a message addressed to Head of Libyan Transitional Council Mustafa Abdul Jalil congratulated Libyan nation?s victory and full liberation of Libya.

According to the IRNA Monday Night News Team, the IRI Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information and Media Head Office further quoted Salehi in the message as saying, ?Victory of the Libyan Revolution was gained by grace of God and the praiseworthy resistance of the revolutionary youth of the Muslim Libyan nation.?

He also expressed hope that that parallel with the beginning of the new political era in Libya the ground would be pave for the establishment of a stable national government, and a political system based on democracy, free from interference and influence of any alien force.

The Iranian foreign minister also in his message asked for cooperation of the head of the Libyan Transitional Council in clarifying the fate of Imam Mousa Sadr and his companions, and finding the place where they are kept.

Salehi has at the end of his message announced the Islamic Republic of Iran?s readiness for assisting the Libyan nation in every possible field.

Sadr, the founder of Lebanon`s Amal Movement, was a popular and highly revered Lebanese Shia cleric of Iranian descent, who disappeared on August 31, 1978 while visiting Libya.

Sadr was scheduled to meet with officials from the government of Gaddafi along with two of his companions, Mohammed Ya?qoub and Abbas Badreddin.

It is widely believed in Lebanon that the Shi?a cleric was kidnapped on order of senior Libyan officials.

In 2008, Beirut issued an arrest warrant for Gaddafi over Sadr`s disappearance.
