Palembang, S Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Four Indonesian boxers advanced to men`s finals after they won the 26th SEA Games semifinals in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Saturday night.

Julio Bria and Mandiangan Matius were the last two Indonesian boxers qualified for the finals. Bria beat Saludar Rey of the Philippines 20-9 in the 52-kg class and Matius outclassed Ahmad Muhamad Ridwan of Singapore 20-9 in the 62-kg class.

Two other Indonesian boxers who had earlier advanced to the finals were Afdan Bachtila in the 63-kg class and Alek Tatontos in the 65-kg class.

In the finals on Monday (Nov 21) Bria will fight against Butdee Chatchan of Thailand in the 52-kg class and Matius against Charly Suarez of the Philippines in the 62-kg class.

Bachtila will play against Galvan Dennis of the Philippines in the 63-kg class and Tatontos against Mohd Farkhan of Malaysia in the 65-kg class in the finals.

In the women`s finals Thailand snatched four golds and the Philippines two golds. Meanwhile, the Indonesian boxing squad only collected a silver and three bronzes.

In the 2009 SEA Games in Laos, Indonesia collected three silvers and six bronzes in the boxing event. (*)
