Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan has expressed concern that 18 kinds of authority he had given to commissioners of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) were not yet being implemented properly.

"They (SOE commissioners) are reluctant to accept the authorities and afraid to carry them out. They still ask for implementing and technical references," he said after a seminar held by Swa Magazine here on Tuesday.

He said he had learned about the SOE commissioners` reluctance to take the responsibilities at some of the leadership meetings he had been holding with his five deputies every Tuesday.

Dahlan said if the SOE commissioners continued ignoring the responsibilities, he would suggest that they just resign.

"At our leadership meetings we decided not to issue implementing and technical references. If the commissioners still refuse to carry out the new authorities, they had better resign," he said.

In view of the SOE commissioner`s attitude, the minister said, he would issue a circular to them and SOE directors to implement the authorities, adding the circular would be issued in the next three months.

"The decision also contains an order to SOE commissioners to discontinue their practice of scribbling private conditions on the bottom margin of company documents," he said.

Among the 18 kinds of authority Dahlan had given to SEO commissioners was assigning directors to certain tasks or delegating certain powers to directors, approving the company`s budget and work plans (RKAP) or changes to RKAPs, appointing external auditors to examine the company`s financial reports.
