Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - An Australian boy with initial LM (14 years old) was finally released from Denpasar jail on Sunday (Dec.4) after being detained for two months over illegal drug possession, an official said.

"He will be freed today," Chief of Denpasar jail Siswanto said, adding that LM would be deported to Australia and was also banned from entering Indonesia for the next six months.

Meanwhile, LM`s lawyer Mohammad Irfan said his client was feeling glad to be freed from the jail.

"LM will be leaving for Australia either tonight or tomorrow," he said.

LM was caught by police in Kuta tourist resort in Bali on October 4, 2011 carrying 6.9 grams of marijuana in gross or 3.6 grams net in his pocket.

To the police LM confessed he bought the illegal drug from a person he did not know in Kuta.

Previously in its verdict, the court said LM had been proven guilty of violating Law No 35/2009, article 127, paragraph 1a, on illegal drug possession.

Thus, the judge sentenced him on November 25 to two months in jail minus time in detention.
