Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State oil and gas company Pertamina last year posted an unaudited net profit of Rp25.01 trillion, accounting for 118 percent of its target of Rp21.16 trillion.

"The audit of the financial statement is still going on and is expected to be completed early March 2012," Pertamina spokesman M Harun said in a press statement on Monday.

He said almost all of Pertamina`s subsidiaries booked net profit last year. Even the net profit of 13 of the company`s 18 subsidiaries outstripped the overall target of Rp21.16 trillion.

The 13 subsidiaries are PT Pertamina EP, PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy, PT Pertamina EP Cepu, PT Pertagas, PETRAL, PT Patra Niaga, PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental, PT Pertamina Retail, PT Pertamina Dana Ventura, PT Pertamina Bina Medika, PT Patra Jasa, and PT Pertamina Training & Consulting.

The net profit mostly came from subsidiaries engaged in the upstream sector which contributed Rp24.01 trillion or 96 percent of the overall profit.

He said subsidiaries engaged in the downstream sector contributed Rp702 billion to the profit.

"The higher net profit was driven by subsidiaries` operating income which reached Rp371.17 trillion before being audited," he said.
