Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A fire ravaged at least 18 kiosks in Cakung, East Jakarta, on Saturday evening but there was no immediate report of casualties or material damage.

By Saturday evening, firefighters were still struggling to put out the blaze which broke out at 04.25 p.m., a spokesman of the East Jakarta fire department said.

The cause of the fire was still unknown.

Saturday`s fire was the second major blaze to occur in the capital in four days.

Earlier, on Wednesday, a fire gutted seven shops in Palmerah, Central Jakarta. But no fatalities or injuries were reported.
