Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The United Nations (U.N) Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon expressed hope that First Lady Ani Yudhoyono would soon recover after undergoing a gall bladder surgery.

Ban, who will make an official visit to Jakarta on March 20-21 also hoped that his visit to Indonesia will not disturb the recovery process of Ani Yudhoyono, the Indonesian permanent representative in New York, ambassador Desra Percaya said on Saturday.

Ban through his office in the U.N. headquarters in New York sent a letter to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, expressing his sympathy over the First Lady`s illness and hoped she would immediately recover.

In the meantime, dr Djoko Rahardjo, a member of the presidential team of doctors confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday that Ani Yudhoyono was one hundred percent recovered following her gall bladder surgery.

Djoko Rahardjo made the statement at the Gatot Subroto Military Hospital here.

The presidential team of doctors successfully completed Ani Yudhoyono`s gall bladder surgery, at the Gatot Subroto Hospital on March 16.

According to dr Djoko Rahardjo, Ani Yudhoyono is not necessary to have a total rest, thus she can carry out her ordinary activities at home.

In addition, the First Lady should not return to the hospital to have her health condition checked, Djoko said, adding that the doctor who handled her surgery will likely be asked to come to (Cikeas) or presidential residence.

The presidential team of doctors successfully completed the Indonesian First Lady`s gall bladder surgery, at the Gatot Subroto Military Hospital.

Spokesman of the presidential team of doctors, Dr. Aris Wibudi, said the surgery started at 8 am on Friday and was completed in an hour.

Dr. Aris noted that the presidential medical team of nine doctors, successfully removed Ani Yudhoyono`s gall bladder with stones in it through three holes measuring 0.5 centimeter in diameter.

He mentioned that the operation ran smoothly without any problems as the First Lady was in a stable condition while the surgery was being carried out. (*)
