Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has received the report on the government response to the powerful earthquake which recently struck Aceh and other provinces on Sumatra island, presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said.

He noted that National Disaster Mitigation Board (BNPB) Chief Syamsul Maarif submitted the report to the president during a regular internal meeting at Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java on Monday.

The meeting, attended by Vice President Boediono and a number of cabinet ministers, was closed to the media.

"At the internal breakfast meeting, ministers and BNPB chief submitted a progress report on Aceh quake management to President Yudhoyono," Julian said.

Besides the ministers and BNPB chief, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Chief Sri Woro was also present at the breakfast meeting to explain issues involving climate and weather conditions in Indonesia.
