Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) in Yogyakarta is to send 30 students and lecturers to SolBridge International School of Business, Woosong University, in South Korea under a Spring Immersion 2012 program.

"The 30-member delegation of Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) consists of 23 students and seven lecturers from the accounting and economics study program of the economics faculty and the industrial technology study program of the industrial technology faculty," Bachnas, the university`s deputy rector, said here Sunday.

Hopefully, the delegation would become an envoy and promote Spring Immersion Program at UII, he said.

"As such, the program will be able to host student exchange program by inviting foreign students, particularly those of SolBridge International School of Business," he said.

The cooperation with SolBridge International School of Business had been existed since 2009 and Woosong University was world-class university with global atmosphere, he said.

"Our previous cooperation came in the form of student exchange in which UII sent two of its students of the accounting study program of the economics faculty. The two UII students not only studied business and culture but also tried to know real competition at global level," he said.

Primanita S, chief of the delegation, said while in South Korea, the delegation would participate in a number of academic activities and hold a meeting with the Student Council of SolBridge International School of Business.

"Nearly 80 percent of students of SolBridge International School of Business are international students from China, Japan, India, the United States, and European countries," he said. (*)
