Gorontalo, April 23 (ANTARA) - The Commander of the Army's Strategic Reserves Command (Kostrad), Lt. Gen. M. Munir, on Monday visited officers who were injured here in a Sunday clash.

Six Kostrad officers were wounded in a clash with members of the police's Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in Gorontalo at 3 a.m. local time on Sunday.

Munir, who was accompanied by Gorontalo Police Chief Brig. Gen. Irawan Dahlan, visited four of the officers at Dunda Limboto Regional Public Hospital, Gorontalo district. The other two officers are at the Aloei Saboe Hospital in Gorontalo city.

The Kostrad commander spoke with the officers and gave them some gifts.

In the clash on Sunday, four of the Kostrad officers sustained gunshot injuries, while two of them suffered stab wounds.

Moreover, two Brimob officers sustained head injuries after being pelted with stones.

After his visit to the hospital, Munir attended a closed-door meeting held at the Gorontalo Police Headquarters. (Uu.F001/INE/KR-BSR/O001)
