Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Japanese Deputy Home and Communications Minister Kimiaki Matsuzaki made a working visit to Indonesia with the relevant ministries and institutions for cooperation in communications and disaster mitigation.

Kimiaki Matsuzaki, who arrived in Jakarta Tuesday night is scheduled to have a meeting with Indonesian Communications and Information Minister Tiffatul Sembiring this afternoon and the head of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Sri Woro Harijono tomorrow.

He is scheduled for talks with Minister Tiffatul Sembiring on the promotion of concrete projects in disaster mitigation and information, communications and technology, including the eradication of discrepancy of information technology benefits and increased information safety in Indonesia.

In Jakarta, Kimiaki Matsuzaki is also slated to meet ASEAN Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan to promote the ASEAN Intelligence Network Concept, and visit the ASEAN Coordinating Center for Disaster Mitigation Humanitarian Assistance.
