Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to pay a mourning visit to Health Minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih, but the place and time is yet to be determined.

The president will also lead the funeral ceremony for Endang on Thursday, May 3, 2012, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi told reporters in the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

"Mr President is pleased to lead the funeral ceremony," he said.

Sudi stated that he received the news about Endang`s death at 11:41 a.m. from Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta.

"I received the news at 11:1 a.m. and immediately delivered the message to the President," he said.

The minister was reportedly suffering from stage four lung cancer and had been hospitalized since March 20, 2012.

Endang`s condition had reportedly worsened on May 1, 2012, and she underwent intensive medical treatment in the hospital`s intensive care unit.

Her body will be taken to her family`s house in Duren Sawit, Jakarta, before the burial the next day in the San Diego Hills cemetery at around 11.00 am on Thursday, May 3, 2012.

Endang was suffering from lung cancer since October 2010 and had been undergoing treatment, both in Indonesia and abroad, for approximately one and a half years.

She had requested Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on March 24 to accept her resignation from the post of Health Minister. Since then, Endang was continuing as an inactive minister.
