I just do not pay attention to such rumours.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Dahlan Iskan denied the rumours regarding his resignation from the ministerial post at the United Indonesia Cabinet II.

"I don`t know about this rumour - who spread it, and what is the purpose. I don`t even know where this rumour is leading to," he declared here on Tuesday.

Dahlan asked all parties not to respond to the rumours of his resignation from the ministerial post.

Moreover, Dahlan admitted that the ongoing rumours will not affect his performance in managing 141 Indonesian state-owned enterprises.

"I just do not pay attention to such rumours," he claimed.

Earlier, rumours regarding the minister`s resignation had gone viral on the social media networks, which discussed the ongoing feud between some of the ministers due to director-level changes in the state`s oil and gas company, PT Pertamina, on April 17, 2012.

Based on the Ministerial Decree Number SK-186/MBU/2012, Dahlan had overhauled Pertamina`s five new directors.

Both the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono are rumoured to have questioned Dahlan`s policy.

Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha, however, denied on Monday, May 21, that Dahlan Iskan had submitted a letter of resignation.

In addition, Dahlan said that it was normal for the Presidential Palace to issue an official statement in this regard.

"There`s nothing wrong if the Palace responded to that rumour," Dahlan remarked.

Dahlan also claimed that his policy to revamp Pertamina`s directors was part of his efforts to improve the company`s corporate performance.
