Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State oil company PT Pertamina said its oil production has reached 130,000 barrels per day staring in May this year.

The companty`s president director Syamsu Alam said in Jakarta Wednesday that the psychological figure raised the company`s optimism to further increase production.

"And the output has even reached 135,500 barrels per day on May 21, 2012," he said.

By the end of April this year Pertamina booked a production increase of 1,067 barrels per day from Tasim Well (TSM-4) in South Sumatra.

Then starting in the middle of May 2012, the addition came from Prabumulih Field, namely PMB24 Well 2,551 barrels per day, "fracturing" OGAN-21 1,411 barrels per day, and from the boring of TLJ-236 600 barrels per day.

From BN-25 Well, Bunyu Field with an addition of 3,180 barrels per day.

Syamsu said he has carried out the enhanced oil recovery (EOR) including further oil draining by water injection producing an additional of 14,000 barrels per day.

"We are also studying the development of chemical and C02 injection," he said.
