...return to Jakarta immediately.Ternate, N Maluku (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono`s son Edhie Baskoro managed to escape the wrath of an unruly mob after arriving at Babullah Airport in Ternate, North Maluku, on Thursday.
In his capacity as Democrat Party secretary general, Baskoro, along with party chairman Anas Urbaningrum, arrived here on Thursday morning with several cadres to attend the 2nd regional meeting of the party.
But soon after they landed at the airport, a mob attacked them and beat Ibrahim and Syarif, two of the party`s cadres.
Then the mob tried to attack Baskoro and Anas, but the two men luckily managed to escape with North Maluku Governor Thaib Armaiyn, who had come to greet them at the airport.
After the incident, Edhie, Anas, and their entourage decided to return to Jakarta immediately and, therefore, the regional meeting of Democrat Party in Ternate was postponed.
