Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia`s corruption convict Sherny Kojongian, who was wanted by the police in connection with the BLBI case of Bank BHS, has been caught in US city of San Francisco.

"We are still holding talks with the US authorities [for Sherny`s deportation]," Deputy Attorney General Darmono said here on Friday.

Sherny is scheduled to be deported to Indonesia on June 11 and will be handed over to the Attorney General Office, which had previously issued a "wanted circular" for her arrest.

Sherny was sentenced to 20 years in jail, along with her BHS colleagues, Eko Hadi Putranto and Hendra Rahardja. Hendra died in detention in Australia, before being extradited back to Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Sherny escaped to the US in 2002, soon after the Central Jakarta district court ruled she was guilty of tampering with the BLBI credits, which caused the state a loss of Rp1.9 trillion. (*)
