Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited Australia`s National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC) as part of his working visit in Darwin on Monday.

During the visit, the President was accompanied by First Lady Nani Yudhoyono and a number of ministers.

The Indonesian leader spent about one hour having a close look at medical operation room, communication room and other functional rooms of the centre built on the parking lot of Royal Hospital in Darwin.

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard was also present on the occasion.

NCCRT Executive Director Dr Len Notaras said the center funded by the Australian government was built in response to the Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005.

More than 200 people, mostly Australians, were killed in the 2002 Bali bombing. (*)
