Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State construction company PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) plans to build a concrete plant in Iraq as part of its business expansion.

Iraq expressed keen interest to have a concrete plant when an Iraqi delegation visited Indonesia last week, WIKA corporate secretary Natal Argawan Pardede said here on Friday.

During their stay, the Iraqi delegates visited a concrete plant owned by WIKA, he said.

WIKA would build the concrete plant only after the governments of the two countries held official talks, he said.

Asked about how much the construction of the concrete plant would cost, he said the production capacity and construction cost would depend on Iraq`s needs for concrete.

"We have not held official talks to discuss how much they want. Let`s wait," he said. (*)
