Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the three bribery suspects it arrested earlier on Friday at its central Java high prosecution office, a spokesperson said.

"After the investigation is over, the three suspects will be flown to Jakarta."
Johan Budi told ANTARA that the two ad hoc judges and one broker, who were allegedly involved in a corruption case, are being probed in different rooms at the high prosecution office.
"The bribery suspects are still being questioned by KPK investigators. They were reportedly involved in a corruption case relating to the misuse of the maintenance budget for official cars in the Grobogan district of central Java," Budi elaborated, adding that M. Yaeni, the non-active chief of the central Java Legislative Council (DPRD) is also involved in the case.
He noted that the KPK had arrested two ad hoc judges, identified as Kartini Marpaung and Heri Kusbandono, and a broker Sri Dartuti, in the parking lot of Semarang court earlier on Friday, following a celebration to mark Indonesia's 67th Independence Day.
As per latest reports, the investigation was still on at 4:00 p.m. local time.
"After the investigation is over, the three suspects will be flown to Jakarta," Budi said.
Marpaung was the first female ad hoc judge to serve in a corruption court and was selected in 2009, while Kusbandono belongs to the third batch of ad hoc judges and had been placed to serve in Pontianak in West Kalimantan.
Supreme Court spokesperson Djoko Sarwoko admitted he was shocked by the arrest, wondering how an ad hoc judge serving in Pontianak could be involved in a bribery scandal in Semarang.
