Seoul (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Boediono attended inauguration ceremony of the new South Korea President Park Geun-hye at the National Assembly Plaza in Seoul on Monday.

Vice President Boediono on the occasion was accompanied by his wife Herawati Boediono and other head of states.

The inauguration ceremony at 11 am local time was held at an open air area in cold weather.

The ceremony was marked with the respect of South Koran flag and the singing of the country`s national anthem "Ek Guk Ga".

Vice President Boediono sat between his wife Herawati Boediono and Vice President of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Doan, and the Vice President of Peru Marisol Espinoza Cruz sat at the left side of Herawati Boediono.

A number of foreign officials in attendance include Danish Foreign Minister Villy Sovndal, Afghan Vice President Karim Khalili, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Japan`s Taro Aso, Governor General of Canada David Lloyd Johnston, Prime Minister of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra, as well as Saudi Arabia`s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The securing of the inauguration was tight, seen by many police and soldiers manning almost all the way in Seoul.

The event was enlivened by a number of traditional and modern dance of South Korea that depicting the country`s patriotic spirit.

Tens of thousands of South Korean society had the opportunity to attend the inauguration of its new president.

After the inauguration, President Park helds a reception dinner with Vice President Boediono, as well as other state guests who attended the event.
