Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia and Sweden agree to strengthen cooperation in sectors such as education, technology and environment, Presidential Staff for International Affairs Teuku Faizasyah said here on Wednesday.

"The commitment to strengthen cooperation was made during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono`s meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldtdan on Tuesday in Stockholm," he said adding that President Yudhoyono will stay in Sweden until May 29 to meet with Parliament Chief Per Westerberg and King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf.

In environment sector, representatives from Indonesia and Sweden during Presidetn Yudhoyono`s visit to Sweden have signed an MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Urban Development through Symbio City and Green City Concepts.

Representatives from both countries also agree to boost cooperation among universities and research institutions.

Apart from discussing bilateral issues, President Yudhoyono and Prime Minister Reinfeldtdan also discuss about current situation in Syria, Myanmar, Kosovo, economic criris in Europe, WTO and Indonesia-Europe`s comprehensive partnership.
