Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian badminton team took home two titles at the SGC Thailand Open 2013 which ended in Bangkok on Sunday.

The two titles came from mixed doubles experts Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth and women`s doubles specialists Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii, according to the tournamentsoftware website on Sunday.

In the finals, the second-seeded pair of Markis Kido and Pia Zebadiah beat their compatriots Riky Widianto who teamed up with Puspita Richi Dili 18-21,21-15, and 21-15 in 53 minutes.

The Nitya Krishinda Maheswari-Greysia Polii pair was assured of the title after outclassing the Yuriko Miki-Koharu Tanemoto pair of Japan 21-7 and 21-13 in 33 minutes.

In the men`s single in the tournament offering a total cash prize of US$120 thousand, India`s Srikanth K crushed Thai first-seeded Boonsak Ponsana 21-16 and 21-12 in 33 minutes.

Korea was assured of its title after Shin Baek Choel who teamed up with Yoo Yeon Seong outplayed Russian players in the men`s doubles 18-21, 21-15, and 21-14 in 58 minutes.

Thailand brought home its first women`s singles title at the tournament after Ratchanok Intanon beat her compatriot Busanan Ongbumrungpan 20-22, 21-19, and 21-13 in one hour and 21 minutes.(*)
