Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Asia Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) in Bali in October this year will discuss visa facility to ease the mobility of its member countries, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Mari Elka Pangestu has said.

"With the cooperation of visa facility, we hope there will be an increase in foreign tourist visits to Indonesia," Mari said after a coordination meeting to discuss preparations for APEC here on Friday.

She said the visa facility was a manifestation of the action plan of APEC Travel Facility Initiative (APEC-TFI) that has been launched by the leaders of member countries.

Mari noted that with such a facility, the APEC member countries would be able to exchange data to make visa process faster.

"For example, the holder of APEC Business Card that has been implemented in some countries will no longer need visa," Mari said.(*)
