We will work hard next year, too, to reward you for your love."
Seoul (ANTARA News/Yonhap) - South Korean boy band EXOs first full-length album and its repackaged version has sold more than 1 million copies in total, its management company said Friday.

It became the first music album to reach the milestone in the country since the seventh full-length album by signer Kim Kun-mo and the fourth by boy group "god," both released in 2001.

"XOXO (Kiss & Hug)" and its repackaged album that includes a few more songs from the original album hit shelves in June and two months later, respectively, and has sold a total of 1.07 million copies, S.M. Entertainment said.

Debuting in April with the mini-album "Mama," the 12-member group has drawn popularity both in South Korea and Chinese-speaking countries.

It has since topped a local TV K-pop ranking program for the title piece of the first album "Wolf" and domestic online music charts for "Growl," the title song of the repackaged album, while receiving various music awards in South Korea and China.

"We thank all of you for supporting and helping us establish the valuable record of being a million-selling group. We will work hard next year, too, to reward you for your love," the group said in a statement. (*)
