Head of the Papua Public Works office Michael Kambuaya said the president will also commission a number of other development projects especially in the public works sector in Papua.
"Currently we are listing projects to be commissioned by the president. There are a number of roads newly completed in district areas in Papua and West Papua ," Kambuaya said.
Construction of the Holtekam bridge that would link Jayapura and a number of outer regions including the border area with Papua New Guinea is estimated to cost Rp800 billion, he said.
The bridge project to be built with funds from the state budget and regional budget and to be completed in 2018, will span a distance of 600 meters in the sea.
