Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) launched a book here on Friday, which sheds light on his views and experiences as well as the rationale behind his policies made during his presidential tenure from 2004 to 2014.

The book, titled "Selalu Ada Pilihan" meaning "There will always be chouces" and published by Penerbit Buku Kompas, has four sections, with each one containing several articles.

"I wish to dedicate this book to everyone, irrespective of his/her profession, status, position, and location, home or abroad. I wish to dedicate this book to those who love democracy and future Indonesian leadership," he stated at the launch of his book.

President Yudhoyono explained that the book was not merely a textbook full of theories, neither was it a critical analysis about politics, democracy, or economy nor a manual for winning presidency.

"I will not like to teach anyone," he remarked.

At the event, President Yudhoyono symbolically submitted 20 copies of his book to 20 eminent figures from diverse backgrounds including Aviliani, Bambang Pamungkas, Budi Susilo Supandji, Chairul Tandjung, Enny Susanti, Gamawan Fauzi, Herman Musakabe, I. Gusti Made Putra Astaman, Indartato, Margiono, Mari Elka Pangestu, Merry Riyana, Mien R. Uno, Meutia Hatta, and Felix Wanggai.

The event was attended by Vice President Boediono and his wife, Herawati Boediono, former vice president Try Sutrisno, former vice president Jusuf Kalla, First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, cabinet ministers, members of the presidential advisory council, and other officials.

President Yudhoyono will end his term at office later this year, following the presidential election on July 9.

He is not entitled to seek re-election by law, as he has already completed two presidential terms.
