Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) interrogated Anggoro Widjojo here on Thursday evening upon arrival from China where he had been arrested after being wanted by KPK since 2009 as a corruption suspect.

Anggoro arrived at the KPK Building handcuffed and escorted by a number of police officers to anticipate any eventuality.

The brother of Anggodo Widjojo, already jailed in connection with Anggoros case, did not say a word to reporters on arrival. He brought six bags but their contents were not known yet.

The Indonesian immigration office and the KPK worked in tandem with the Chinese police in Zhenzhen, arrested the wanted suspect yesterday afternoon, according to Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Denny Indrayana noted in a text message here on Thursday.

Anggoro is a graft suspect in connection with the procurement of the Integrated Radio Communication System (SKRT) and has fled since June 19, 2009.

The former director of PT Masaro Radiokom has allegedly bribed a number of parliament members such as Al-Amin Nur Nasution, Azwar Chesputra, Hilman Indra and Fachri Andi Leluasa to make them urge the government to revive the SKRT project of the forestry ministry that had earlier been put on hold.

PT Masaro was the ministrys supplier of equipment for the SKRT project since 2007 worth Rp180 billion.(*)
