The partys deputy secretary general, Fahri Hamzah, told newsmen hundreds of thousands PKS cadres would fill campaign locations across the city including the Bung Karno main stadium that day.
The campaign events were aimed at encouraging party cadres and board members to retake the partys 2004 victory.
"There will be around 250,000 party cadres involved. The slogan is Lets make Jakarta white, he said. White is the color of the partys flag.
Fahri said PKS was eager to revive the victory it made in the legislative election in 2004. "We will prove we can take it back. That is the spirit of the campaign," he added.
He said he believed the party would win again if all cadres worked hard. "We are convinced we could win again in Jakarta," he remarked.
He said the campaign that day would be attended by legislative candidates, PKS executives and candidates for president.
"There will be surprises and attractive shows during the campaigns," he said.
