Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA News) - The general chairman of the ruling Democrat Party, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), planned to present the 11 participants of the partys convention at the final campaign rally in Sidoarjo, East Java, on Saturday.

"Invitations have already been distributed and hopefully they will all come," the partys deputy general chairman, Soekarwo, said to newsmen here on Friday.

The Democrat Party had held a convention to nominate a presidential candidate for the election on July 9 and 11 potential candidates had attended it.

They are State Audit Board member Ali Masykur Musa, Paramadina University rector Anies Baswedan, state enterprises minister Dahlan Iskan, former ambassador to the United States Dino Patti Djalal, former defense forces commander retired general Endriartono Sutarto, chairman of the Regional Representative Council Irman Gusman, Democrat Party parliamentary member Hayono Isman and house speaker Marzuki Alie, former trade minister Gita Wirjawan, former army chief of staff retired general Pramono Edhie Wibowo and North Sulawesi governor Sinyo Harry Sarundajang.

At the final campaign, however, only SBY who is also the countrys president will make a speech, Soekarwo said.

"I think SBYs speech would represent them all," he added.

Soekarwo, who is also governor of East Java, said with the campaign in Sidoarjo the party wished to retain its domination in the district.(*)
