The name of Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo or Jokowi, appeared in the national Indonesian and English language examination papers, while the English language exam paper featured the name of the Prosperous and Justice Party (PKS).
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - No politicization has occurred in the field of education following the inclusion of Jokowi and PKS in the national senior high school exam papers, confirmed the Ministry of Education.

"The national examination papers were made a long time ago and in line with the framework," the ministrys head of information and public relations department, Ibnu Hamad, stated here on Wednesday.

The name of Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo or Jokowi, appeared in the national Indonesian and English language examination papers, while the English language exam paper featured the name of the Prosperous and Justice Party (PKS).

"There has been no politicization in the education sector," he affirmed.

He noted that the examination papers had been prepared since July 2013 and had met the required standard.

He pointed out that the examination materials had nothing to do with Jokowis presidential bid. He further added that besides Jokowi, the names of Iwan Fals (singer) and Rendra (poet) were also mentioned.

The examination material that contained Jokowis name was only found in 18 provinces or appeared in the examination papers of 187 thousand out of the 3.2 million examination participants.(*)
