Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bank Indonesia (BI) decided at the meeting of its board of governors here on Thursday to keep its key rate (BI rate) unchanged at 7.5 percent for the sixth month in a row.

"The policy remains consistent with the effort to achieve the inflation rate target of 4.5 percent, plus or minus 1 percent, at the end of 2014 and 4 percent, plus or minus 1 percent, at the end of 2015 as well as to lower the current account deficit to a healthier level," BI Governor Agus Martowardojo said in a press conference.

The meeting also decided to maintain the lending facility rate and deposit facility rate at 7.5 percent and 5.75 percent respectively. (*)
