Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Balis tourism and education sectors are ready to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, claimed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bali Regional Employers Association of Indonesia (DPD APINDO) Panudiana Kuhn.

"Those sectors will be ready to compete with other countries in the Southeast Asian region," Panudiana Kuhn noted here on Friday.

Kuhn stated that Bali is known for its scenic beauty and unique cultural arts and has qualified human resources.

Based on data revealed by the Bali Tourism Board, around 1,397,668 foreign tourists visited Bali in the first quarter of 2014. Meanwhile, during the same period last year, 1,217,354 foreign tourists came to Bali.

"This trend shows that Bali tourism will continue to thrive as we get ready to face the AEC 2015," he claimed.
