Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bank Indonesia (BI) will print tens of millions of new "NKRI" (Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia) bills, which will be issued on August 17, 2014, deputy governor Ronald Waas said here on Wednesday.

"All the preparations have been completed for the issuance of the new bill on August 17," he said.

Ronald noted that initially the central bank will only print about ten million bills.

"That is already quite much. We will not only print 1,000 or 2,000 but tens of millions," he said.

He said Perum Peruri had already been ordered to print the new "NKRI" bills.

"The bills will range from Rp1,000 to Rp100,000," he said.

With regard to the issuance of the new NKRI bills, BI will formulate a regulation.

"I believe all new bills issued by BI should be accompanied by regulations. In this connection, BI will formulate a BI regulation," he said.
