Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A witness team of the Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa pair walked out of a plenary meeting on ballot recapitulation at the General Elections Commission (KPU), here on Tuesday, following Prabowos announcement of denouncing the election results.

"Today, we express our deep concern over the democratic process, which should have been organized with utmost integrity and quality. However, during the ballot recapitulation process, we have found many frauds. So, we reject the recapitulation process going on in the KPU," Yanuar Arif Wibowo of the Prabowo-Hattas witness team stated here on Tuesday.

Wibowo remarked that some 52 thousand C1 forms involving around 25 million voters were deemed invalid due to frauds during the ballot counting process at the level of poll stations.

Rambe Kamarul Zaman of the Prabowo-Hatta team pointed out that his team had staged a walkout as the KPU has failed to implement a fair election.

When the KPU implemented the policy wrongly, it was considered a crime. The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) has recommended a re-election in some 5.8 thousand poll stations in Jakarta, but the KPU ignored the recommendation, he added.

Prabowo earlier announced that he will not accept the election results to be announced by the KPU because he believed that the election was problematic and unfair.

The KPU has failed to become a fair executor of the presidential election, Prabowo emphasized.

He, however, urged the public to stay calm, while he fights for justice.
