Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The situation in Indonesia is normal following the announcement of the 2014 presidential elections winner on Tuesday (July 22), Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto stated here on Wednesday.

"There have been no reports of any untoward incident in Indonesia. I am grateful that the result of the election has been announced, and the people are following the process peacefully," Djoko noted.

He emphasized that in spite of a presidential candidate withdrawing from the vote counting process on Tuesday, the security situation in Indonesia until Wednesday remains safe.

However, Djoko admitted that the police and military personnel will remain on high alert in the days to come.
