Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Prabowo Subianto greeted volunteers "Happy Idul Fitri" at open house held at his campaign headquarters at Polonia House in Cipinang Cempedak, East Jakarta, on Monday.

"Happy Idul Fitri to us all. Minal Aidin Walfaidzin. I ask from the bottom of my heart and soul forgiveness for all my wrongdoings," he said in his address.

He expressed hope that they would all be blessed by God for the services and struggle they had carried out so far.

"I hope in the years to come we will be given goodness by Allah, and our struggle and ideals will be blessed by Him," he said.

The retired army general who paired with former chief economic minister Hatta Rajasa had been declared to have lost by the General Elections Commission (KPU) in the election, but he had not accepted the results of the election and had filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court citing massive and systematic frauds in a number of regions.

Prabowo shook hands one by one with the volunteers and also met their requests for a group photograph, flanked by Fadli Zon, the secretary of his campaign team, and other members.

"Thank you for your dedication and loyalty. Again, I ask forgiveness from the bottom of my heart and soul," he said.

Prabowo arrived at around 4.55pm and left after chatting for a while with the volunteers who had been waiting for him since afternoon.

Prabowo conducted Idul Fitri prayers at the Az Zikra mosque near his residence in Bogor, West Java, in the morning before greeting President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the Istana Negara complex and visited Islamic figure Habib Abdurrahman in Kwitang, Central Jakarta.

Afterwards, he also visited Aburizal Bakrie, the chairman of Golkar Party who had supported his presidential bid and a number of national figures before coming to Polonia.

During the tour, Prabowo was not accompanied by his running mate Hatta Rajasa, who had held open house at his private residence in South Jakarta.
