Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President-elect Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, inaugurated the transitional office along the Situbondo Street in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim I declare this transitional office open," Jokowi stated while unveiling the curtain frame of the office.

Jokowi explained that he has launched the transitional office where the finer details of his vision and mission, nine programs of his action plan, and his promises during election campaigns will be chalked out.

"Here, in this transitional office, we will finalize everything, including strategic matters related to the 2015 state budget and the current government," Jokowi pointed out.

He remarked that the team at the office will be assigned the task to finalize the concept of institutional governance under the president, including the presidential office and the architecture of his cabinet.

"The team will also spell out the vision and mission of the president- and vice president-elect and make efforts to speed up the implementation of the Indonesian Health Card and Indonesian Smart Card," Jokowi emphasized.

He added that the discussion regarding the recruitment and selection of his cabinet ministers is solely the responsibility of the president in accordance with the presidential system.

"Those who are in this office will not automatically be included in the cabinet," he remarked.

According to Jokowi, the transitional office is led by Chief of Staff Rini M. Soemarmo who is assisted by Andi Widjajanto, Hasto Kristiyanto, Anies Baswedan, and Akbar Faizal.(*)
