Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Attorney Generals Office on Friday night arrested former marketing director of Jakarta government-owned lender Bank DKI on charges of involvement in a graft case related to procurement of ATR 42-500 aircraft worth Rp80 billion.

The suspect, identified by his initials MI, has been detained at the Salemba detention house, spokesman of the Attorney Generals Office Tony T Spontana reported here on Friday night.

The Attorney Generals Office made the arrest after questioning the suspect since Friday morning, he noted.

The suspect was arrested for fear that he will destroy evidence and escape," he said.

The office has also named former Bank DKI president director, identified by her initials WE, as a suspect. However, she has not yet been arrested.

During the recent investigation, WE did not show up at the Attorney Generals Offices Oval Building as she claimed to have fallen ill, Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes R Widyo Pramono said.

"However, we will confirm whether she is unwell," he added.

The case involves the granting of credits to PT Energy Spectrum to purchase ATR 42-500 aircraft worth US$4.9 million from Phoenix Lease Pte Ltd.
