Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for marine affairs and fisheries will monitor the distribution of subsidized diesel for fishermen.

"The new government must prioritize and ensure the availability of subsidized diesel for the fishermen during the next five years," the Kadin deputy chairman for marine affairs and fisheries, Yugi Prayanto, said during a discussion on the marine and fisheries road map here on Monday.

He noted that there must be further study on the problem of inconsistency in the regulation and distribution of subsidized fuel.

"We want the stakeholders to review the matter, particularly the issue related to the fishermens sustainable operation," he remarked.

Yudi expressed hope that there would be a better system with a proper schedule and consistency.
