Semarang (ANTARA News) - The Central Java high prosecution office has arrested M.Tamzil, former expert staff of the Central Java governor on charge of corruption.

M. Tamzil was allegedly involved in embezzling fund for a Rp21.9 billion project to procure educational facilities and infrastructure in the regency of Kudus in 2004-2005.

Tamzil was arrested on Monday and is now detained at prison cell in Semarang.

Two other suspects have also been arrested -- former head of the Kudus district education service Ruslin and a busineeman Abdul Gani , the director of CV Ghani and Son.

Currently Tamzil is a staff at the Research and Development Center at the Central Java administration office.

Assistant Intelligent of the Central Java High Prosecution Office Yacob Hendrik said the state suffered a loss of Rp2.8 billion in the case.(*)
