"Yes, the KPK investigators confiscated a cardboard box containing numerous document from the house of Governor Annas Maamun," Noverius said here on Sunday.
Noverius explained that around five to six persons came to Annas house at 10.30 am on Sunday but he did not think they were the KPK investigators.
The KPK on September 26, 2014 officially named the Riau governor a corruption suspect after being arrested.
Annas was caught red handed by the anti graft agency receiving bribe on earlier on the day in Jakarta.
"After being grilled by KPK investigators Anas was named a suspect," KPK chairman Abraham Samad said.
Abraham said Aan was charged with receiving a bribe facing a maximum jail term of 5 years.
He said KPK also named Gulat Manurung, a palm oil businessman a suspect for allegedly bribing the governor, adding Gulat is facing a maximum jail term of 5 years.
He said KPK confiscated money worth more than Rp2 billion including 156 Singaporean dollar and Rp500 million from the suspects.
"The graft is for license to convert forests into plantation in Riau," he said.
The arrest of Governor Annas could could lead to uncovering of bigger corruption cases in Riau, the Indonesian Association of Construction Contractors said.
Association chairman Syakirman expressed his appreciation for the anti graft agency (KPK) here on Saturday.
Annas was caught red handed by KPK accepting bribe in a relatives house in Jakarta. He was arrested together with a number of people including a Riau businessman Gulat Manurung.
Syakirman said the arrest of Annas could open the way to unveiling more graft cases involving the governor and other business people, who have enjoyed monopoly of government projects in Riau.
He said he was "very much" convinced about the "ijon" (graft paid in advance) charges against Annas for 73 projects of the highway construction directorate general worth Rp442.298 billion in Riau for 2014.
