Palu, C. Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - The police arrested four alleged terrorists in Palu City of Central Sulawesi on Sunday (Oct. 5) who are believed to be related to the Santoso-led armed group in Poso District.

Central Sulawesi Regional Police spokesman Senior Adjunct Commissioner Utoro Saputro reported here on Monday that the four suspects, identified by the initials Sr, Fr, Pd, and An, were arrested in separate locations.

The person with the initials "Sr" hailed from Sunju Village located in the border of Palu City and Sigi District, while Fr belonged to Jalan Suprapto of Palu City.

Moreover, the terror suspect "An" worked as a technician in a vehicle service center in Jalan Kelor of Palu City. He allegedly disassembled and sold stolen motorcycles to raise funds for their activities.

The police revealed that Pd, who lived in Tinggede Village of Sigi District, is a student of one of the private colleges in Palu City.

Utoro stated that all the four were stalked by police officers as they were conducting suspicious activities.

He remarked that the four alleged terrorists are being detained in the Central Sulawesi Regional Police Headquarter for interrogation.

Utoro noted that the four suspects have played a role in fund-raising activities and have helped alleged terrorists in Poso District.

The police arrested the persons after investigating seven alleged terrorist members in Palu City who were arrested several weeks ago while travelling to Poso District.

Utoro added that the police are still pursuing the armed group and its terror network in Central Sulawesi.
