Abu Dhabi (ANTARA News/KUNA-0ANA) - The United Arab Emirates said Wednesday that the isolation of a passenger arriving from Liberia through Morocco in Dubai International Airport had to be made to ensure safety and necessary tests after suffering from diarrhea during flight.

The purpose of the test was to ensure that the passenger does not suffer from Ebola symptoms, the UAE Ministry of Health said in a statement.

The statement noted that the patient does not suffer from either Ebola symptoms or high temperature.

As part of the ministrys adopted precautionary measures in this cases, the passenger was quarantined, monitored and conducted the necessary tests according to the medical requirements and procedures of the World Health Organization in such similar cases.

The ministry stated that all the necessary medical procedures were done to the passengers to ensure their safety.

The statement added the ministry reassures that it cooperates with all the health authorities in the country, particularly in entry cases whether through air, land and sea.

The ministry also made sure to take the necessary precautions since the beginning of Ebola epidemic to ensure the safety of UAE nationals and expatriates.(*)
