"The (implication of) yellow and red marks are the same. The figures whose marks are yellow and red should not be selected,as ministers," Samad said.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Abraham Samad said here Wednesday that the ministerial candidates who have got the red and yellow marks were totally not recommended to be chosen as President Joko Widodos cabinet members.

"The (implication of) yellow and red marks are the same. The figures whose marks are yellow and red should not be selected,as ministers," Samad told journalists in response to the issue of President Joko Widodos cabinet line-up.

Abraham Samad said he had just come to the Merdeka Palace to explain the meaning of red and yellow mark to the head of state.

On Monday, KPK Deputy Chairman Zulkarnain confirmed that there were "potential suspects" among 43 ministerial candidates whose names were handed over by President Joko Widodo to the antigraft body.

He, however, did not elaborate the names of those potential suspects.

President Joko Widodo had earlier told reporters that the KPK and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) had checked the track records of all ministerial candidates.

The head of state also said he would not select figures that were not willing to quit their dual posts as he wanted them to focus on working for the sake of the people.(*)
