Hanoi, Vietnam (ANTARA News) -- The 2014 AFF Cup qualifier at the My Dinh stadium in Hanoi ended with a 2-2 draw between the Indonesian and Vietnamese senior soccer teams on Saturday evening.

In the first half of the game, the Vietnamese squad appeared energetic with the attack they launched from the midfield, completed by its strikers Nguyen Van Quyet and Nguyen Hai Anh.

In the 11th minute, Vietnamese player Que Ngoc Hai scored the first goal of the match.

The Indonesian lineup equalized the score in its counterattack, with Zulham Zamrun scoring for his team in the 33rd minute. This ended the first half of the game 1-1.

In the second half, Vietnamese player Le Cong Vinh scored the second goal for his team in the 68th minute. This goal was equalized by Indonesian striker Syamsul Arif in the 84th minute of the game.

The Indonesian lineup included Kurnia Mega (goalkeeper), Zulkifli Syukur, Raphael Maitimo, Rizki Pora, Achmad Jufriyanto, Muhammad Roby, Zulham Zambrun (Imanuel Wanggai, 88), Manahati Lestusen (Firman Utina, 70), Muhammad Ridwan, Boas Salossa (Syamsul Arif, 60), and Sergio van Dijk.

The Vietnamese players were Tran Nguyen Manh, Le Phuoc Tu, Dhin Tien Thanh, Ngo Hoang Thinh, Nguyen Van Quyet, Que Ngoc Hai, Pham Thanh Luong (Le Cong Vinh, 54), Vu Minh Tuan, Nguyen Anh Hai, Nguyen Huy Hung, and Nguyen Xuan Thanh (Nguyen Minh Tung, 80).

Earlier, Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi promised to give the Indonesian squad a bonus if it advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 AFF Cup.

Moreover, Indonesian coach Riedl said that he would continue to improve the speed and skills of his squad to defeat opponents in the AFF Cup.
