Kuta, Bali (ANTARA News) - Passenger surveillance has been intensified ahead of the Christmas and New Year 2015 holiday season to anticipate any untoward incident, the Ngurah Rai International Airport authority revealed here on Monday.

"Tightened surveillance is highly needed as Bali remains Indonesias most favorite tourist destination for both domestic and international holiday makers," remarked Herry A.Y. Sikado, the airports general manager.

For this purpose, Sikado stated that a monitoring post has been set up at the arrival gate of the airports international terminal and another one at the domestic terminal, both of which will be opened by January 4, 2015.

The airport authority has received the support of not just its officials but also several military and police personnel as well as health workers.

"We want to ensure that all supporting operational facilities function well," he affirmed.
