Sukoharjo, Central Java (ANTARA News) - The Special Detachment 88 squad of the Indonesian Police has arrested terror suspect alias DK (33) in Sukoharjo District of Central Java Province on Tuesday, (Dec. 23).

The local witness Parjiman claimed that he had seen eight police officers boarding white and black cars after arresting DK.

"I heard some noise when the police arrested the person. The officers then handcuffed the person and put him in the car. The vehicles then drove eastwards and left the village," Parjiman noted.

Parjiman said he did not know the name of the suspect. However, other anonymous people gathered at the location said the persons alias was DK.

An anonymous source said the suspect lived with his wife in a rented house for the last seven months in Gambiran Village No. C6 of Kartasura Sub-district, Sukoharjo District, Central Java Province.

"He sold fried snacks daily. I do not know his name. But, he rented the house for the last seven months. He did not mingle with the local people. He had a yellowish skin complexion and short stature," Parjiman reported.

The officers had cordoned off the area to prevent the entry of locals.

"A local asked the police about the incident, but the officer only answered that a thief was arrested," Parjiman remarked.

Chief of Sukoharjo Resort Police Senior Commissioner Adjunct Andy Rivai confirmed the arrest of the terror suspect at the location.

However, Andy has yet to obtain information about the identity of the suspect.
