Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesias military chief, Gen. Moeldoko, has appreciated the hard work, passion and dedication of soldiers, including those from friendly countries, involved in the search for victims of AirAsia QZ-8501 flight.

Gen. Moeldoko expressed his appreciation when he was visiting the search site in Pangkalanbun, Central Kalimantan, from where the casualties of the ill-fated AirAsia flight were being evacuated on Tuesday.

"I express gratitude and respect for all the soldiers and the friendly countries Armed Forces personnel who have helped and worked hard in (carrying out) the process of search and evacuation of victims of the AirAsia," the military commander said in his written statement received here.

According to Moeldoko, TNI (Military) will try and work hard as it continues its search for victims and the fuselage of the AirAsia flight, notwithstanding the fact that it has to face a variety of outstanding natural obstacles.(*)
