Pangkalan Bun, C Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has deployed 20 professional divers, divided into two teams, to lift the tail of the ill-fated AirAsia QZ8501 flight.

"Each team comprises 10 divers," Commander of the First Squad Indonesian Diver Ebram Harimurti stated here on Friday.

"We will work for a week, at least every day. We will attempt to dive four times to the location of the tail section," he said.

The divers that Basarnas has deployed to assist in the operation are experienced diving instructors from Jakarta, Lombok, and Kalimantan.

Ebram stated that Basarnas has detected an object suspected to be the fuselage. The first team will carry out a dive to verify the detection.

The search for the victims and planes black box is being coordinated by Basarnas and involves the military, police, and Transportation Ministry, besides teams from several foreign countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, India, and Russia.

The aircrafts black box and fuselage are yet to be located.
